Roman Blind Styles

If you're at all interested in Roman blinds, I would suggest that you check out the huge selection that's currently available for ordering online. They have all kinds of different Roman blinds for sale, in a variety of material, and the great thing about buying them on line is that they are pretty cheap.

There are two different styles of Roman blinds. One style, the more regular one, has a straight flat fold when the blinds are drawn up accordion style. They look very neat, and are usually the best kind to get as they fit with any style of room decor.

The other style blind doesn't lie flat when it's pulled all the way up, but it has a curved hem so that the shape of the blind when it is up is more of a teardrop shape. This style is great for a girlie themed bedroom, but it wouldn't look as appropriate in a boy's bedroom, at least I don't think it would. It would also look good in a drawing room, or living room, providing it matched the style of furniture, which is a more classic look--not necessarily a modern day look.

You are a bit more limited too in the material to use for teardrop shaped Roman blinds, as it needs to be fairly flexible, though not flimsy, in order to fall properly. Too stiff of material wouldn't fold properly, though it's great for the regular style of Roman blind.
